STIE Ganesha Holds the 16th Graduation Ceremony, Ready to Transform into Universitas Graha Ganesha

The Ganesha School of Economics (STIE Ganesha), which is currently undergoing a transformation toward Universitas Graha Ganesha (UGG), successfully held its 16th Graduation Ceremony at Ra Suites Hotel, TB Simatupang Street, South Jakarta, on Sunday, November 28, 2025.

The ceremony officially commenced at 8:00 a.m. and was opened by the Chairman of the Senate of STIE Ganesha, Syarif Hidayatullah, continuing until completion. As a healthy campus that upholds institutional principles, STIE Ganesha remains committed to continuous improvement and the provision of excellent services in preparation for its transition into a university.

Entering its 33rd year of dedication in educating the nation’s youth, STIE Ganesha once again conducted an Open Senate Session for the Inauguration of Graduates from the Bachelor’s Programs in Management and Accounting, as well as the Master’s Program in Management, for the 2025–2026 academic period, with a total of 190 graduates.

This year’s graduation ceremony carried the theme “33 Years of Contribution Toward the Transformation into Universitas Graha Ganesha,” and also marked the anniversary celebration of the Graha Ganesha Foundation, under the sub-theme “Institutional Transformation as a Strategic Step to Realize Superior and Impactful Human Resources.”

In his inspiring remarks, the Chairman of STIE Ganesha expressed appreciation for the institution’s achievements in preparing for university status and congratulated all graduates on their accomplishments.

“Congratulations and best wishes to all graduates. Keep moving forward, become graduates who are capable of creating opportunities, and always uphold the good name of your alma mater,” he stated.

Meanwhile, a representative of LLDIKTI Region III emphasized that the world is changing rapidly, requiring higher education institutions to continuously reflect, adapt, and transform, particularly through curriculum development aligned with global dynamics.

“Universities must not only produce graduates but also respond to the demands of the times. Campuses must be safe environments, free from sexual violence and intolerance. For graduates, do meaningful and impactful work, build trust, maintain integrity, and strengthen alumni networks. Trust is the most valuable asset,” he explained.

The Scientific Oration was delivered by Lukman, Head of LLDIKTI Region IV, who provided a realistic overview of the challenges in the workforce and highlighted the importance of personal development and resilience.

“Today, approximately 1.7 million graduates are entering the workforce. Competition is extremely intense. Therefore, do not merely seek jobs—create them. Become entrepreneurs and do not become a burden to the nation. Successful people focus on opportunities, while unsuccessful ones focus on excuses,” he emphasized.

He further outlined key challenges in the transition toward university status, including intense competition among higher education institutions, the need to develop new study programs, and the demands of the 21st century such as globalization, urbanization, and digital transformation. He stressed the importance of building a comprehensive digital ecosystem, advancing AI and big data, and producing high-quality human resources with strong mastery of science and technology to support national development, including food self-sufficiency.

The commitment of alumni was reaffirmed by the Chairperson of the STIE Ganesha Alumni Association for the 2025 period, who emphasized alumni collaboration and social impact.

“Alumni never walk alone. Let us collaborate through our alumni network, become resilient and impactful alumni, and provide solutions for the well-being of our communities,” said the alumni leader, a 2012 graduate who currently serves as Head of the Food Security Agency of South Tangerang City.

The atmosphere of this year’s graduation ceremony was particularly distinctive, blending local Indonesian cultural values. The event was opened with Betawi Tanjidor music and the traditional Palang Pintu performance, creating a festive, warm, and entertaining ambiance for all attendees.
